Lauren + Andrew originally planned their wedding for early 2020. Of course when Covid came around and stopped everyone in their tracks, they had to replan their entire wedding. They came up with the great idea to actually still get married at church with their closest friends and family on their original wedding date. So the only thing they had to reschedule was the celebration or reception itself which they decided to do at the Ritchie Hill venue in Concord, NC.
Because of Covid restrictions, both their ceremony and reception was very limited to a certain amount of guests. But intimate weddings are some of my favorite to photograph. They were able to really spend time with their loved ones without the chaos of a normal wedding day. The timeline wasn’t rushed and there was ample time to get photos both before and after the ceremony.
One of my favorite things about their wedding is the gorgeous, oversized, farmhouse table they decorated for dinner for all of their guests. This way everyone could sit together, including the bride and groom, and really engage with one another. The wedding itself was so intentionally intimate, the vibe was romantic, and everything was slow paced- leaving Lauren + Andrew the opportunity to soak in every moment. It was the perfect evening and an even more perfect wedding.
